KLH was founded in 1957 by Henry Kloss and his partners Malcolm Lowe and J. Anton Hoffman. Mr. Kloss was a legendary audio engineer whose innovative designs are still revered throughout our industry. These include:
- The first Acoustic Suspension Loudspeakers
- The first High-Fidelity FM Table radio
- The first High-Fidelity Transportable Stereo Phonograph System
In the year 2000, Mr. Kloss was inducted into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements. KLH continues to honor the heritage of Mr. Kloss by maintaining the commitment to excellence that he embodied.
In 1989, industry veteran Lavere Lund assumed ownership of the brand. Under the guidance of Mr. Lund, and through his business and manufacturing expertise, KLH grew to become one of the largest audio providers in the industry. Mr. Lund still continues to oversee the business every day.
Our fundamental goal, as it was with Mr. Kloss, is to provide superior quality, high fidelity audio product at affordable prices. With over 50 years in the Consumer Electronics industry, KLH is proud of its success and longevity in a very competitive field, and more importantly, our contributions to the industry as a whole. To this day, KLH continues to develop new product to coincide with emerging technology. We are able to achieve this by utilizing various strategies, including a lean and highly effective corporate structure, which includes a vastly experienced design and engineering department.
KLH is a family owned American business, with our Corporate Headquarters in Van Nuys, CA. Most facets of our business are located here, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Logistics and Warehousing.
